With over twenty-five years of practice experience as a generalist, I provide evidence-based psychotherapy for individuals, couples and groups to help reduce distress and maximize growth and satisfaction. My approach is integrative, drawing on insight-oriented, psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment perspectives depending on the circumstances that most concern you. To help reduce symptoms and develop more pleasure and control in your life, brief or longer-term psychotherapy is offered depending on the issues you wish to address and your interests.

I work with adults and adolescents facing a wide variety of concerns, helping people address challenges in their personal and work relationships, intimacy, loneliness, self esteem, anxiety, grief, sadness and depression, and problems in everyday living. Other areas of expertise include LGBT issues and training and clinical supervision. In addition, I specialize in offering services to mental health professionals, physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers, technology, legal and business professionals, academics, and those in the creative arts.

I also provide consultation and supervision for mental health professionals. Through my current and past academic positions I have extensive experience in providing instruction, lectures, clinical supervision, consultation, and supervision of clinical supervision.

I welcome your call to discuss payment and insurance. Payment is requested at the time of service. I am an out of network provider for many health insurance plans. While I do not bill insurance companies directly, many insurers offer “out of network” benefits allowing you to see a psychologist of your choosing. An invoice will be provided if you plan to request reimbursement from your insurer.

I offer reduced-fee psychotherapy for mental health professionals in training (psychologists, psychiatrists, and MFTs).
